Carl is a Chartered Building Surveyor with over 30 years of experience in surveying and property. Carl qualified from Brighton University with a first class honours degree and UK construction award for dissertation and energy research into renewable energy systems. Carl has a diverse range of surveying skills and experience, from the restoration of GI listed buildings to guiding homebuyers with their next purchase.  Carl can mostly be found providing L3 Building Surveys to Homebuyers from Brighton to Winchester.

Carl’s early training included working for major surveying firms in Brighton and Worthing, together with experience gained alongside a senior architect involved in the restoration of the listed properties at Sussex Square, Chichester and Brunswick Terrace. Over the past three decades, Carl has developed extensive technical knowledge of Brighton and Hove building types, having both surveyed and project-managed numerous extension and renovation schemes locally.

Significant Experience in Traditional Buildings

Carl’s comprehensive understanding of Georgian, Victorian and post war housing construction across the Sussex area provides reassurance that both inherent defects and more recent maintenance issues will be thoroughly investigated and clearly documented within a comprehensive report. He also has strong working knowledge of the Building Regulations and is regularly instructed to survey modern and new build housing throughout Sussex and the wider South East.
